Seasonal recipes and inspiration for autumn, guided by Traditional Chinese Medicine.

106 PAGES • 70+ RECIPES • SEASONAL FOOD GUIDANCE

Autumn is a season of transition.

As the days get shorter and the weather begins to change, I like to use this time to slow down, reset my routines and bring more seasonal foods into my kitchen.

I created The Autumn Table to share the foods, recipes and simple practices I turn to during this time of year, inspired by the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In this guide, I explore how autumn is traditionally viewed in Chinese Medicine, including its connection with the metal element and the lungs, as well as the idea of using this season as a time for reflection, transition and letting go.

For me, eating with the seasons isn't about following a strict set of rules. It's about paying attention to what is around you, adapting to the time of year and making your meals feel more warming, nourishing and comforting.

And most importantly, I wanted this to be something you could actually use in your kitchen.

WHAT'S INSIDE

106 pages of seasonal inspiration

I've brought together my autumn food philosophy, seasonal ingredients, practical recommendations and a large collection of recipes in one guide.

70+ recipes

You'll find plenty of options to take you through autumn, including:

Breakfasts & smoothies
Apple, mango, berry and pineapple smoothies, pumpkin pancakes, apple French toast, oats, smoked salmon bagels and more.

Lunches & dinners
Vegetable dishes, chicken, turkey, salmon, tuna, shrimp, quinoa bowls, pasta, tacos and more.

Soups & creams
Butternut squash, carrot, spinach, vegetable and mushroom soups, among others.

Salads & bowls
Seasonal salads, quinoa bowls, lentil salad and other simple combinations built around vegetables, grains and fresh ingredients.

Plant-based recipes
Vegan tacos, plant-based sushi, vegetable dishes, bowls and more.

Snacks & extras
Kale chips, simple snack combinations, teas and other little ideas for between meals.

Warm drinks, juices & lattes
Matcha latte, lemon & cayenne tea, green juice, fall juice, reishi cacao latte and golden reishi/mushroom lattes.

EATING WITH THE SEASON

I also share the seasonal foods and ingredients I like to bring into my meals during autumn, including cooked vegetables, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, apples, pears, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric, grains, legumes and more.

One of the ideas I come back to in this guide is that autumn calls for a different way of eating. As temperatures drop, I prefer more cooked and warming foods, including roasted vegetables and soups, rather than relying so heavily on cold, raw meals and salads.

MORE THAN RECIPES

The Autumn Table is also about the rhythm of the season.

I share some of the simple practices I associate with autumn, from breathing and outdoor walks to creating more space to slow down and let go.

Because for me, seasonal wellness isn't only about what's on your plate. It's also about how you move through the season.
